We The People Media is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization that trains low-income people to produce their own media and challenge stereotypes of poor families. We The People Media publishes Residents' Journal, a national-award-winning magazine launched in 1996 and widely recognized today as the authentic voice of Chicago's inner city. To incubate the next generation of journalists, We The People Media runs the Urban Youth International Journalism Program, a media skills curriculum for inner city young people.
